 With this, 110 wheat procurement centers have been set up in 48 districts by the State Agricultural Produce Market Council. The minimum support price at these centers has been fixed at Rs 1975 per quintal. Due to which 46982 metric tonnes of wheat has been procured. Under this scheme, payment of Rs 92.78 crore has also been made to 8523 farmers on wheat purchase.

On 29 January 2021, instructions have been given by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to start wheat procurement. This wheat procurement will be started from April 1, 2021 . Under wheat procurement, farmers will not face any problem at any purchasing center. Full arrangements will be made for the safety of wheat in storage godowns and purchasing centers. This year the minimum support price of wheat has been increased by ₹ 50. Now the minimum support price of wheat has gone up to ₹ 1975 per quintal. A meeting was held by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with the officials of the timetable and the proposed purchase policy regarding wheat procurement 2021- 2022 .
