The level of trade has ended due to Corona and the waves of Corona greatly affected the international market of Banarasi mangoes.
Due to the cancellation of international flights, so far this season, consignments of Langra and Chausa mangoes, popularly known as Banaras, have not been sent to Dubai and London. Along with this, green vegetables of Varanasi and adjoining districts could not be sent to Gulf countries. Although the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority hopes that the situation is now normalizing, then soon the process of sending green vegetables abroad will start once again.

There is hope about Chausa Mango
Assistant General Manager, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, CB Singh said that one of the main reasons for non-export of green vegetables and Banarasi Langra mango from Varanasi and its surrounding districts this time is non-availability of international flights. is. Cargo flights are available from Lucknow or Delhi. However, if the consignment of vegetables is sent via Lucknow and Delhi, then the transport cost will increase. In this way the cost of vegetables will increase and farmers will be in loss. The Assistant General Manager said that we are still keeping hope about Chausa mango. Now slowly everything is unlocking. If we get a good consignment of quality Chausa mango from Banaras and adjoining districts, then we will try to make arrangements to send it abroad.
